Choose one from the following: Awards, Benefits, Diversity, Health & Wellness, or Sustainability. Attend monthly committee meetings and collaborate with your committee officer on assigned initiatives. - Enjoy the Experience!

2. The Process
Step 1: Know What is Expected of You
You are expected to attend the monthly GPSG assembly from October until May. The dates and times for each assembly can be found HERE. As part of the assembly each month, you will serve on a committee and have subsequent duties associated with your committee assignment.
Step 2: Nominations
Nominations for the 2025-2026 GPSG Representatives are open from Sept. 17 - Sept. 24 2025. To become a candidate or nominate someone from your department, fill out this FORM.
- Elections will be held between Sept. 25 and Sept. 28, 2025.
- Results will be announced on Sept. 29.
- Orientation Assembly will take place on Oct. 03, 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
- First General Assembly will take place on Oct. 10, 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
Step 3: Elections
All graduate and professional students at IU Bloomington are invited to vote for their departmental representatives in the Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG).
How to Vote
- Access the ballot here
- Select your school and department carefully.
- Votes cast for representatives outside your department will be voided.
- Submit your vote by Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
If Your Department Is Not Listed
Your department may be missing from the ballot for one of the following reasons:
- We received nominations equal to or fewer than the number of available representative positions, so those nominees were elected automatically without a vote.
- We did not receive any nominations for your department.
