Biography
I come from Denmark, where growing up in a strong tradition of social democracy instilled in me the importance of participation, representation, and democratic engagement. Those values have shaped my approach to leadership and inspired my involvement in student governance.
I have been actively involved in student leadership since 2013, serving in elected representative roles at the municipal, secondary, and university levels. My experience includes chairing and establishing student councils, serving on school boards, and advocating for student interests across multiple educational institutions. Most recently, I was elected as the Jacobs School of Music representative to the Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG) at Indiana University, where I now serve as an EI Officer.
Alongside my leadership roles, I graduated with top honors while completing my degree in Vocal Performance at the Danish National Academy of Music. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Opera and Vocology at the Jacobs School of Music, where I am preparing for a career as a professional opera singer, researcher, and pedagogue.
Outside of my academic and musical pursuits, I enjoy baking cakes (and eating them!) as well as riding my bike around Bloomington—a habit deeply rooted in my Danish upbringing. I believe that leadership, artistry, and community cannot truly flourish without one another. That is why I am proud to dedicate my time to GPSG and to serving the students of Indiana University Bloomington.
